So you'd like to order some delicious organic fruit and veges or groceries, but still aren't sure about something. Then here's a few answers to some of the questions you may have.

Why Organic Feast? is the Hunters only dedicated certified organic retailer – your guarantee of quality and certified organic produce. Located in the heart of the Hunter, we bring produce from 30 local certified organic producers to your door.


What guarantee do I have that your produce is Certified Organic? is a certified organic retailer with The National Association for Sustainable Agriculture, Australia (NASAA) . Just as our growers are certified organic and inspected regularly to ensure that they maintain organic standards, we too are inspected regularly. Our purchasing records are inspected, our produce is inspected, our labeling is inspected and our cleaning methods must also meet organic standards. Integrity is guaranteed.


I'd love to get some fresh fruit and vege delivered but how do i go about it?


We offer several ways for ordering home delivery service. Select the best option for you.

On-line - Order on-line at our easy to use web-site by midnight for delivery the next day.

Phone - We can run you through what is in season, the sizes and quality of produce and our weekly specials
We call you, Monday evenings for Tuesday or Wednesday deliveries or Thursday evening for Friday deliveries. Simply add your name to our call list.
You call us to place your order the day prior to delivery.

Fax - Simply fax your order to us the day prior to delivery.


When do you deliver?


We deliver Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. There are some slight changes to compensate for public holidays.


What if I'm not going to be home to recieve my delivery?


You are not required to be home to receive your order. When you create an account for online ordering there is a 'Delivery details' box to fill in, where you can leave specific details on where you would like your box placed. eg 'Please leave at the back door'


Where do you deliver?

If you want to recieve fresh organic fruit and veges then we deliver to Newcastle, Port Stephens, Tea Gardens, Lake Macquarie and surrounds, Maitland, Cessnock, Pokolbin, Old Bar, Pacific Palms, Singleton, Muswellbrook, Gosford and the Central Coast.

The map above shows the main region where we deliver our fresh produce. We use an extensive courier network to deliver just about anywhere on this map. However, some non metro regions may not be covered by this network. If in doubt, please contact us, all it takes is one quick phone call for us to find out! 

If, however, you require some non-perishable items then we can deliver Australia wide, either using Fastway couriers or Australia Post! Please contact us for details.


I live in the area for fresh delivery, but I am unable to find my suburb when creating my account. What should I do?


In this situation you should call or email us to find out whether delivery to your suburb is possible. It may be that your suburb has not been included on our database in which case we can add it, so you can proceed with your order. Or it may be that our courier will not deliver to your suburb at this time. If in doubt, please ask. 


What will it cost for delivery?

We prefer an up front method where you can clearly see where your money is being spent. 

For this reason we keep all of our food prices to a minimum and charge you an honest delivery fee.

For Newcastle and Lake Macquarie delivery fee is $6.95 per box and $3.00 for any additional box.

Port Stephens, Singleton, Muswellbrook, Pokolbin, Branxton, Dungog is $7.95 per box and $3.00 for any additional box.

Central Coast, mid North Coast, Stroud and Gloucester is $9.95 per box .

For other areas it is best that you contact us to confirm the freight costs.

Orders requesting pick-up will incur a packing fee of $5.00


How do I pay for my order?


Payment can be made via credit card, direct deposit, cheque or money order. Cash payments can be made at our shop any day of the week.


If I chose to pay by credit card, how do i know my details are secure?


We use 128-bit encryption through the use of a security certificate provided by Verisign. Make sure you are running the current version of your web browser to benefit from the 128-bit encryption. Organic Feast accepts Visa, Bankcard, Mastercard and Amex.


I don't have, or don't want to use, a credit card, what should i do?


If you chose not to pay by credit card, you will unable to complete your order via the website, unless you contact us to arrange for your account to be specified as C.O.D. You will then be able to proceed with your order via the website.

What can i order?


There is a minimum order of $30 excluding delivery fee. You can order any of our certified organic products found right here on our website.


What about the set boxes? What is in those?


For your convenience we offer a range of set boxes: $35 mixed fruit and vegetables; $35 mixed fruit; $35 mixed vegetables OR $50 mixed fruit, vegetables, which includes a loaf of bread and and half a dozen eggs OR $80.00 mixed fruit, vegetables, bread and 1 dzn eggs.
We use a seasonal selection of certified organic fresh produce and concentrate on the ‘staples’ such as carrots, broccoli, onions, potatoes, tomatoes, lettuce, spinach, beans, pumpkin, zucchinni, capsicum. Apples, bananas, oranges, kiwi fruit, all subject to seasonal availability.
Of course, if you would like something specific included in your box please mention this in ‘special requests’. Alternatively, if you would like something excluded, please also mention this in ‘special requests’.
We will attempt to customise your box as much as the information you give us allows.


How do I know my delivery will be 'fresh'?


To ensure freshness we use foam boxes to keep your order cool. We recommend that a purchase of 1-2 bottles of frozen water be included especially in hot weather. This will keep produce chilled and can then be enjoyed when deforsted.


What if I'm not satisfied with something that I've recieved? guarantees to deliver premium quality, farm fresh produce direct to your door. If ever you feel something has arrived in less than satisfactory condition, please contact us and we will gladly refund or credit any item that you are dissatisfied with to your account.


I have a mountain of foam boxes building up. What should i do with them?


In some areas our courier will pick up any foam boxes you have collected from your previous deliveries. So when receiving your order please leave out the boxes from your previous orders for return and re-use.
If the courier will not return them, please contact us for alternatives, as someone may be able to pick them up for you.
Failing this, they do make great herb gardens and flower planters, OR some other business in your local area may be interested in them (eg. florists etc). Every little bit of recyling helps!
